After the $800 suspension, US duty follows transaction value
Audit checked: 2026-11-06
LandedCalc (the same product as 出海算盘) uses one US valuation rule for stock shipments and for direct shipments.
International postal traffic has a separate duty under section 3 of Executive Order 14324. This calculator does not compute it, so the duty line is not the postal amount due.
The US rule the calculator uses
Executive Order 14324 suspends the $800 de minimis exemption from 12:01 a.m. EDT on 29 August 2025. Non-postal goods are entered under the applicable duties.
Both stock and direct use the converted product cost as the duty base. International freight you enter on its own line is not part of that transaction value.
The US appraises on transaction value (19 USC 1401a). Example 4 of 19 CFR 152.103 excludes identified ocean freight and insurance from that price. For both US channels this tool assesses duty on the converted product cost and leaves the international-freight field out. Section 4 of Executive Order 14324 makes sections 2 and 3 effective at 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time on 29 August 2025. Section 3 postal duties are not calculated. The CBP FAQ (Last Modified: Sep 02, 2026) also describes a mail informal entry process from 24 July 2026, which is not modeled.

Postal duty is not calculated
International postal shipments use section 3 of Executive Order 14324. That section is not implemented here, so the duty figure is not the postal tax.
You still type the rate from the official HTS. This page does not supply a classification and it is not a filing.
The profit calculator applies the transaction-value rule below. The international-freight field stays out of the duty base.
It does not fill in the postal duties in section 3 of Executive Order 14324.
Risk note
This page and the calculator are estimates, not customs, tax, or legal advice. Confirm with a licensed broker before you file.
Do not copy the duty line into a postal entry. Section 3 is not in the result.
